Mourela – Pitões das Júnias

The place of Mourela, near Pitões das Júnias, is an 1100m and 1350m high plateau and it mainly consists of grazing meadows and mountain thickets. Here you can also find some peat bogs and a few trees. It’s a windy, wet and cold place and the best time to watch birds is from April to October.
